We are so excited to start our own small, local garlic farm! We have lived on this beautiful Dexter property for over 25 years. We raised our three daughters here, they enjoyed many types of animals: horses, cows, rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters and even Jacob sheep. The pastures have been quiet for the last several years after the girls grew up. One evening in September of 2020, while sitting by the bonfire and dreaming up semi-retirement opportunities, we had the wild idea to grow gourmet seed garlic! Bernadette has been learning about garlic & braiding garlic for a few years after being introduced to the hobby by her crafting friends. She has also been using garlic for 10 years for the health benefits. What an amazing plant to grow and what a wonderful way to use our lovely land here in Oregon! It’s an opportunity to give back and enrich the dirt that has given us so much pleasure over the years. Our small, family owned farm offers organic certified food grade garlic and seed grade garlic to the local communities of Eugene, Springfield, and other surrounding areas of Lane County. We are looking forward to growing beautiful, healthy organic gourmet seed garlic for you and we’re hoping to have some fun at the same time!
